This special reserve is extremely limited – only 100 boxes are made per series, as the dark Maduro wrapper is so rare. Each one has been handmade to burn perfectly and evenly.
The tobacco leaves have been aged four years, and specially cured through four hanging fermentations. In fact, it is the exclusive curing process that the Salazar brothers brought from Cuba and makes these such unique cigars.
This one starts off with leather, licorice, cocoa and white pepper notes before moving on to bittersweet dark chocolate and earthiness. The last third is quite floral.
So – those Salazars. What of them? Well, they’ve been in Pinar del Rio in Cuba since 1810, and have been growing tobacco ever since. There were four brothers who perfected the art of cigar making themselves and handed down that tradition from father to son.
These special reserve cigars are rolled by a master roller using a secret blend that is mellow and rich. This particular offer comes in a Cedar Box, and you get 25 cigars of 6.25 inches and a 54 ring gauge. Usually retailing at 89.99, this offer is for 39.99.
